Lifeway Foods, a US-based producer of cultured dairy products, has unveiled five new Kefir confections for infants and older children.
The new Kefir confections include Lifeway ProBugs Bites - tiny freeze-dried kefir melts; Lifeway ProBugs Organic Green Kefir - a yogurt-like smoothie; Lifeway ProBugs Blast - a new ProBugs lowfat smoothie; Lifeway Lowfat Honey Fig Kefir - new Mediterranean-inspired cultured milk smoothie and Lifeway Frozen Kefir Bars - low-fat indulgences.
Lifeway Foods' new confections are 99% lactose-free and naturally gluten-free, said the company.
Commenting on the launch, Lifeway Foods president and CEO Julie Smolyansky said that the company will expand its product portfolio to meet the increasing consumer demand for ProBugs and frozen kefir lines.
Lifeway Foods is a supplier of cultured dairy products known as kefir and organic kefir. The company produces a variety of Frozen Kefir and probiotic cheese products and also sells frozen kefir, kefir smoothies and kefir parfaits through its Starfruit retail stores.
