Ruffles Has Introduced Beer-Battered Onion Rings to Its Potato Chips Line.

Ruffles, a snack brand owned by PepsiCo's Frito-Lay division, has introduced beer-battered onion rings, a new addition to its potato chips line.

The company stated that the Ruffles MAX Beer-Battered Onion Ring flavored potato chips are just in time for the sports and party season.

Frito-Lay North America marketing vice president Tony Matta said the Onion rings are one of those staple guy-get-together foods.

"We wanted to incorporate that flavor for guys to share for any impromptu gathering -- just grab a bag off the shelf and throw a party with your crew," Matta added.

Ruffles had introduced onion-ring flavored potato chips in late 2011 as limited distribution, but Ruffles MAX Beer-Battered Onion Rings are under the brand's MAX line. It is available for a limited-time across the nation.

Ruffles MAX Beer-Battered Onion Rings are available in two sizes - a 2.5oz. bag for a retail price of $1.49; and an 8oz. bag for $4.29.
