Culinary Software Services, which is the foodservice industry’s leading provider of back-of-the-house technology, announced that the freshly released ChefTec xt3 offers the add-on feature of Lot Tracking.
The number of food recalls has increased nowadays due to stringent food safety regulations. For this purpose, the Lot Tracking feature has been introduced to make it easier to spot products that require recalling.
ChefTec's add-on module can track identified food products expeditiously, right from buying the raw materials up to distributing the final product.
Culinary Software Services president Brian Bennett said: "The ChefTec Lot Tracking Module (LTM) allows the operators to quickly establish the source and movement of the affected food items and ensures an efficient handling of the recall.
"It is a critical tool in limiting the impact of the recall and in minimising the expense of the process."
From 17-19 August, ChefTec xt3, along with its Lot Tracking module, will be displayed at the Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo, at the Anaheim Convention Center, California.
Culinary Software Services will also be presenting this feature at the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Show, at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Florida, from 7-9 September.
