At the product assessment organized by National Development & Reform Commission Energy Administration, and hosted by China Machinery Industry Federation, the appraisal committee considers that 690 alloyed u-shape heat convection pipe for 3rd generation ACP1000 nuclear steam generator, jointly researched by Baosteel Special Steel Baoyin Special Steel Co., Ltd.and Nuclear Power Institute of China has reached international advanced level of its kind in technical performance, some of which are even superior to the international level, and is ready for massive production. It could be applied in ACP1000 nuclear project.
After the accident of Fukushima nuclear power plant, Japan, the 3rd generation nuclear AP1000, 1CP1000 and CAP1400 with higher security, longer life span and better economical performance are the trend of civilian nuclear power in future. However, most key components for domestic nuclear application rely on importation, especially nickel-based 690 U-shape pipe for nuclear steam generator. Due to its special working conditions, strict technical requirement and complicated process, many renowned pipe manufacturers are stepped back.
In Mar. 2011, 690 alloyed U shape heat convection pipe for 3rd generation ACP1000 nuclear steam generator is jointly developed by Baoyin and Nuclear Power Institute of China. Over more than 2 years' time, 2 R & D teams have overcome several technical difficulties. At present, quality of 690 alloyed u-shape pipe for 3rd generation ACP1000 nuclear steam generator produced by Baoyin has reached international advanced level of its kind, and some index has even surpassed the international level.
At the meeting, Baoyin has expressed to privatize quality and perfection, continuously enhance technical and management level, accelerate product commercialization so as to provide 690 alloyed u-shape pipe with reliable quality and stable performance so that our independent developed 690 alloyed u-shape pipe shall be applied in the 3rd generation nuclear power station as soon as possible, making greater contribution to the nuclear power development in China.
