German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the 2014 E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet, ahead of their debut at the upcoming North American International Auto Show to be held in Detroit during 14-27 January 2013.
The new E-Class line up includes E350 and E550 variants, which are powered by a direct injection V6 gasoline engine that generates an output of 302hp and 273lbft of torque and a twin-turbo direct-injection V8 that produces 402hp output and 443lbft of torque respectively.
Both the variants come with a seven-speed automatic transmission with DIRECT SELECT shifter and shifted paddles, in addition to an ECO start/stop system to improve efficiency.
The new Agility Control suspension along with selective damping system is aimed at allowing the shock absorbers of the 2014 E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet to get adjusted to the road condition and offer sporty handling and long-distance comfort.
Standard features of the new line up include collision prevention assist, attention assist 2.0, direct select shifter, while optional feature include Distronic PluS with steering assist, PRE-SAFE brake with pedestrian detection, PRE-SAFE PLUS, active lanekeeping assist, bas plus, active parking assist and 360-degree camera.
The 2014 E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet are scheduled to go on sale in the US in Summer 2013.
