US-based processor Van Drunen Foods is planning to unveil a new facility for dried and dehydrated food processing in Saint Paul, Minnesota, a move which will create 26 jobs.
According to the company, the proposed facility is located at the the site of the former Dawn Food Products that was purchased by the company in December 2012.
Van Drunen is set to invest around $5m in new equipment to be added by Momence - an international food processing manufacturer.
Commenting on the development Van Drunen attorney Adam Decker said that the plant will be qualified for the seven-year tax abatement, following the approval from the city council.
The company noted that the food processing facility is currently under early stages of development.
Van Drunen Farms is a grower and primary processor of culinary, all-natural and functional food ingredients.
