Report comes from Thailand that joint ventured by Baosteel Co.,Ltd. and Zhejiang Jianli Co., Baoli Steelpipe Co.'s 273 mm seamless steel pipe unit, with the efforts of all the project staff in nearly 10 months, achieves perforation, tube rolling, sizing and rolls out the first red tube on January 30. This indicates that Baosteel Steelpipe has paced an important step in international development strategy.
In order to meet Baosteel Steelpipe international development strategy and maintain overseas market, last year, Baosteel Co.,Ltd. and Zhejiang Jianli Co. evoked their respective advantage and jointly established Baoli Steelpipe. The joint venture's main products are coupling sleeve, plain end casing, line pipe, and mechanical structural tube, with 200,000 tons of designed annual production capacity.
Baoli Steelpipe Co. is located in Thailand. To ensure that the project can be put into operation on schedule, under heavy production task, Pipe&Tube Business Department still transfers batches of experienced engineers and technicians to support project design, construction and equipment commissioning. Engineering and technical personnels overcome difficulties such as language barrier, cultural difference, civil construction tardiness, long rainy season downtime, material supply tardiness, make collaborative efforts, seize the time, focus on progress, roll the 1st red tube two months in advance and lay the foundation for the subsequent construction.
The project team says that they will go all out, achieve full line production as soon as possible and contribute to Baoli Steelpipe project's "quick putting into production and quick earning".
