Japanese automaker Toyota Motors is planning to open a new training facility for mechanics in order to increase the quality of its vehicles.
The new training facility is expected to feature a testing track that would be capable of simulating 13 driving conditions including cobblestones and bumpy roads that is expected to reduce the company's recalls.
Following the opening, the new facility is expected to initially impart training to about 2,600 mechanics per year, which will increase the total number of mechanics being trained per annum to 4,800.
Toyota Motor president Akio Toyoda said no vehicle is used in the same way, and all sorts of things happen that cannot be anticipated at the development stage.
"It is impossible to build a vehicle that will never break down," Toyoda added.
"When something happens next time, we will be faster with our response and then people can trust our vehicles more as safe."
Currently, the manufacturer has about 120,000 mechanics across the globe and expects to grow the number in order to address the increasing sales in emerging markets.
