Theo Chocolate Is Rolling out Its Congo Chocolate Bar Series at Grocery

Theo Chocolate, a maker of organic and Fair Trade certified chocolate, is rolling out its Congo chocolate bar series at grocery, drug, and specialty stores in the US this month.

Theo Congo bars, which are currently available at all Whole Foods locations, will be available at grocery, drug, and specialty stores for suggested retail price (SRP) of $4.99.

Theo Congo bars comes in two new dark chocolate flavors - Pili Pili Chili and Vanilla Nib.

Pili Pili Chili is a combination of cocoa, vanilla, and spicy pili pili peppers, while the Vanilla Nib is made with cocoa, creamy vanilla, and crunchy cocoa nibs.

The ingredients used in the making of Theo Congo selections are Organic, Fair Trade certified, and grown by Congolese farmers dedicated to quality and sustainability.

A portion of proceeds will be donated to Eastern Congo Initiative (ECI) to improve the livelihoods of farmers and their families in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Theo Chocolate founder and CEO Joe Whinney said that the partnership with ECI is an expansion of the company's mission to create chocolate while contributing for the protection of environment.

ECI founder Ben Affleck said, "This partnership combines Theo's extensive background building sustainable, fair trade supply chains around the globe with ECI's history working with the Congolese people to develop economic opportunities that serve as a foundation for stability and success.

"Together we have the potential to help tens of thousands of people improve their lives in the short term and make a positive impact for generations to come," added Affleck.
