In the first quarter this year, French crude steel output increased by 2.9 percent year on year to 4.09 million mt, according to the latest data released by the French Steel Federation (FFA).
Meanwhile, in March this year, French crude steel production amounted to 1.39 million mt, up by 4.2 percent year on year. In the same month, crude steel production in France using electric arc furnaces (EAFs) increased by 4.5 percent year on year to 490,000 mt, while crude steel production using blast furnaces (BFs) totaled 903,000 mt, increasing by 4.2 percent year on year
