Lucchini, the second largest steelmaker in Italy announced to temporarily close its Piombino blast furnace (BF) in December for around 40 days
The spokesman of Lucchini said that the firm decided to half the Piombino BF due to sluggish demand and soft economy.
Meanwhile, it's known that the Piombino BF was closed for 2~3 weeks in this May and August respectively.
