General Motors (GM) sales in China increased 1.7% to 244,266 vehicles in September 2012, compared to the same period in 2011.
Shanghai GM's domestic sales increased 3.7% to 120,010 units in September while SAIC-GM-Wuling's sales in China rose 0.4% to 119,510 units.
Domestic sales by FAW-GM were down 5% to 4,581 units for the month while Chevrolet sales in China increased 3.2% to 56,166 units.
The company said that Chevrolet brand was led by the Sail, which generated sales of 18,786 units, and the Cruze, which had sales of 18,338 units.
Buick's September sales in China declined 1.8% to 62,120 units while sales of the original Excelle family totaled 23,186 units.
Excelle XT and GT generated sales of 15,311 units during September while Cadillac sales decreased 8.3% to 2,585 units.
Wuling sales in China decreased 2.5% to 109,502 units while Baojun sales during the month were 9,147 units.
For the first nine months of 2012, sales by GM and its joint ventures in China increased 10% to 2,081,812 units.
