Recycling and resource management company SITA UK has opened a pound 2.5m materials recovery facility (MRF) near Wareham in Dorset, UK.
The facility can process over 20,000 tonnes of commercial dry mixed recyclables per year using equipment provided by Northern Irish-based recycling machinery manufacturer Kiverco.
The facility collects waste material from different commercial organisations including South West Trains and can recycle dardboard, paper, plastics, cans, polythene and textiles.
SITA UK regional manager James Howarth told letsrecycle.com that the facility employs team which includes ten new recruits from the Wareham area who can recycle waste to help organisations put them to good use.
SITA, established in 1988 delivers environmentally responsible and innovative waste solutions throughout the UK and currently employs more than 5,500 people.
