Holden Is Recalling Over 50,000 Cars Due to a Potential Brake Fault Identified in Korea.

Holden, the Australian subsidiary of General Motors, is recalling over 50,000 cars due to a potential brake fault identified in Korea.

The automaker said that the recall covered four models that include the Barina, Viva, Epica and Captiva which were all built in Korea between 2007 and 2010.

The recall will affect 51,387 vehicles to check for any corrosion building up and check that the correct grade of brake fluid is in the car.

The recall covers 8195 model-year Barina hatches and sedans, 27,778 Series I Captiva SUVs, 3723 Epica sedans and 11,691 Vivas.

In early 2008, the company had recalled 88,000 VE Commodore and WM long-wheelbase models to fix a fuel lines in the engine compartment.

In 1996, Holden had recalled 75,000 Commodores due to an automatic transmission problem which led to catch fire in several cars.
