India's CRI Pumps Pvt Ltd has signed a business transfer agreement with Pumps & Process Systems Ltd to acquire the Glasgow, UK-based company's pumping solutions operations. This agreement will expand CRI Pumps’ industrial pumping solutions for pulp, slurry and chemical handling for a range of industries including paper mills, metals and mining, power, coal, chemicals and petrochemicals, and food and beverages. G Soundararajan, vice chairman of CRI Pumps, said: “CRI has strategic plans to enter into the production of a variety of pumps for different industrial applications. CRI today is already supplying products to general water supply, power, petrochemicals, cements, metals and mining industry. With the addition of this product range, for which there are only few manufacturers worldwide, and its strong manufacturing and R&D capability, CRI will be able to offer specific, effective and efficient solutions to meet the growing industry demands.” Founded in 1991, Pumps & Process Systems supplies pumps to a number of countries including the UK, Canada, USA, Australia, South Africa, Indonesia and Chile.
