Inditex, the world's largest fashion group based in the Spanish autonomous province of Galicia, has set a goal of launching at least 50 to 60 stores every year in Russia, for the next few years, according to the popular Russian daily Vedomosti.
The Spanish textiles giant, famous for its high-end fashion brand Zara, entered the Russian market in the year 2006.
The company now operates more than 274 stores in all the major Russian cities, of which, 58 outlets are of Zara, while the rest are divided among other labels like Bershka, Pull & Bear, Stradivarius, Massimo Dutti, Oysho, Zara Home and Uterqüe.
As per the Spanish multinational's immediate future expansion plans, it is set to open its first store in Vladivostok, the far eastern city of Russia, next year.
Founded in 1985, Inditex owns around 5,693 stores in 85 countries. The company specializes in activities related to textile and apparel design, production and distribution.
