David’s Cookies, a US-based producer of cookies and frozen cookie dough, has opened its new headquarters and production facility in Cedar Grove, New Jersey, with an investment of $15m.
With the opening of the new site, the company plans to consolidate facilities from Fairfield, New Jersey and Longwood, Florida in the near future.
In addition, the company will expand its products for bakery, pastry and dessert items in the foodservice, in-store bakery and specialty foods market segments.
David's Cookies president and CEO Ari Margulies said that after 25 years of uninterrupted growth, David's Cookies is proud to announce its new 160,000ft2 facility in Cedar Grove, New Jersey as its new home and corporate headquarters.
"We are grateful for the support that we received from the State and we look forward to a new future of expansion and growth in New Jersey," Margulies added.
David's Cookies, established in 1979, is engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of cookies and frozen cookie dough for the food service and co-branding baking industries and fresh baked cookies sold online.
The company has over 350 employees and sales of more than $90m. In 2012 David's produced an estimated 1 billion cookies in 2012 and is on track to generate more in 2013.
