US carmaker General Motors’ (GM) Chinese subsidiary Shanghai GM has unveiled the new Buick LaCrosse sedan in Guangdong, ahead of its global debut at the 2013 New York International Auto Show in the US.
The new sedan is offered in six variants that are powered by four engines, including a 3.0L SIDI V-6, 2.0T SIDI, 2.4L SIDI and 2.4L eAssist engine.
The chassis of the new LaCrosse features an H-arm independent suspension and a continuous damping control proactive stability system.
Features of the new sedan include the IntelliSafe safety system, IntelliLink infotainment system, the IntelliDrive intelligent handling and QuietTuning technology.
Additional safety features of the model include full-speed-range adaptive cruise control, a collision safety system with active braking, a lane departure warning system, lane change assistant and a parking assist function.
According to the carmaker, the 3.0L engine powered LaCrosse sedan variant will be launched during late April 2013, while variants powered by other engines will be on sale by the end of June this year.
