US-based manufacturer and marketer of plastics packaging products Berry Plastics is all set to invest about $33m in a bid to expand and equip its Evansville production facility.
Berry Plastics chairman and chief executive officer Jon Rich said: "The capital investment we are announcing is in direct support of our strategic goal of accelerating our innovative product development and the bringing to market of exciting new products that provide solutions for our customers."
Berry Plastics Opco, a subsidiary of Berry Plastics has received up to $800,000 from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) in conditional tax credits based on the company's job creation plans offered.
Berry Plastics operates about 80 manufacturing facilities worldwide, and produces a wide range of engineered materials and plastic packaging products.
The products include bottles, containers, drink cups, grocery film, trash bags and prescription containers.
