EvoNexus Adds Strategic Vision and Industry Connections to The Video Technology Start-up

The former DivX CEO and Chairman of high-tech incubator EvoNexus adds strategic vision and industry connections to the video technology start-up.

SAN DIEGO, CA, July 31, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Video technology start-up NewBlue, Inc. today announced that Kevin Hell, the former CEO of video technology company DivX, Inc. and recent chairman of San Diego's high tech incubator EvoNexus has joined its board of advisors.

In addition to leading EvoNexus, where NewBlue is an incubator company, from 2011-2012, Hell also serves on the boards of Holdfree, Pixon, MicroPower, and Perminova. He formerly served as the CEO of DivX, Inc., and joined the Board of Directors of Sonic Solutions when DivX was acquired by the company in 2010.

He was also a Senior Vice President of Product Management for Palm, Inc.'s Solutions Group and the Vice President of Gateway's Connected Home division.

He received an M.B.A. in Finance and Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.S. and B.S. in Engineering from Stanford University.
