Sweden-based food packaging and processing company Tetra Pak has introduced ice cream filler designed to cater to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) seeking to cut operational costs and minimize investment.
The Tetra Pak Ice Cream Filler A3 is alleged to produce up to 18,000 ice cream cones per hour.
The company claims that the device comes with three components: a cone dispenser which can handle different cones and cups, a chocolate sprayer with easy and accurate operational feature, and a lid dispenser which is aimed to achieve uniformity.
The features are designed to help manufacturers achieve increased efficiency with minimal waste, reduction in stops, enhancement of overall speed, and achieving overall product quality.
The modular design of the machine intends to offer production flexibility with easy installation and equipment changeover features. Customers can shift easily between different cone sizes or cups, and ice cream flavours too, within a matter of minutes, the company claims.
Tetra Pak category director Peter Lindstrom said: "The ice cream market is extremely competitive. Our customers face the challenge of providing quality products to consumers while keeping costs down.
"Our new filler offers an effective solution which improves cone handling and delivers different products on one machine. This significantly cuts operational costs - our pilot tests show that customers can save up to 69,000 Euros per year on the cone dispenser alone, thanks to reduced wastage."
Tetra Pak seeks demand for the product from customers in Southeast Asia and South America and in Eastern Europe where manufacturers are looking to achieve production flexibility.
The company is also making available the cone dispenser, chocolate sprayer, and lid dispenser separately for customers seeking to upgrade their existing ice cream filling lines.
