Nampak Corrugated added a reinforced handled to the wrap-around supplied by it to Clover's new Prisma carry packs, in order to make them easier to manage.
Nampak Corrugated marketing manager Craig Platt said Clover's carry pack cartons required a better handle to improve their functionality and appearance.
The handles used earlier were vulnerable to tearing, which damaged the milk cartons.
To address this issue, the South Africa-based packaging company embarked on a nine-month project where various reinforcing systems and designs were scrutinized.
Finally, they zeroed in on a Wellpack Unroll Stand, which was easier to operate and install, after a 'proof of concept' phase proved to be successful.
The company then invested in two Wellpack tape applicators.
