The Works of Dior Were Celebrated by Harrods

A classic example of Parisian luxury meeting British charms can be seen at a conceptualized exhibition paying tribute to the works of French luxury fashion house Christian Dior at London’s popular upmarket department store Harrods.

The ongoing event includes a series of concept spaces, such as café, exhibition, window display and a pop-up shop, telling the story of 60-year-old relationship between the two popular brands, which began in the year 1954, when Dior inaugurated the famous Harrods Fashion Theatre.

Titled as Dior at Harrods, the conceptualized event features a bevy of Royal Beefeaters standing next to a line of ready-to-wear designs created by the label’s creative director Raf Simons.

The store’s fourth floor includes a miniature recreation of the Paris Dior headquarters on 30 Avenue Montaigne.

The event’s Stars in Dior exhibition showcases the dresses worn by the female faces of the brand, including Emma Watson, Marion Cotillard and Jennifer Lawrence.

In addition to the outfits, a line of black and white pictures taken from the brand's archives and videos explaining the concepts behind the label’s campaigns have also been displayed at the store.
