Automobile manufacturer Jianghuai Automobile Company (JAC Motors) has launched its S5, sports utility vehicle (SUV) in Beijing, China.
The SUV is made available with two T-power engines, a 1.8L turbo mated to a six-speed manual transmission that generates an output of 163hp and 253nm, while the naturally aspirated 2L engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission generates an output of 136hp and 180nm.
Features of the vehicle include emergency brake assist (EBA), hill-start assist system (HAS) and hill descent control (HDC).
According to the company, the Turbo technology used in the SUV recycles the exhaust gas produced by the engine resulting in reduced amount of emissions and fuel consumption, while increasing the engine efficiency.
The vehicle offers ground clearance of 210mm and trunk space of 505L that can be increased to 1100L when the rear seats are folded.
Additionally, S5 comes with the electronic power steering system (EPS) that provides stability at high speeds.
