German brand ION is launching its new bike gloves worldwide this spring. The Path, Ledge and Wisp models each feature "digital tips" to enable touch screen use. The company says its version of the touch screen feature works better than other manufacturers' because the tips are located on the top of the fingertips instead of at the end of the inner hand panel.
ION's Path and Wisp gloves are light cross-country mountain biking models for men and women, respectively. The Ledge model is for enduro and gravity-oriented riders.
Other features include pre-curved fingers and inner palm and an inside panel made of synthetic leather called "holy_cow." There are silicone prints on braking fingers and a nose wipe on the thumb.
ION bike gear will be officially available in late March or early April in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, Spain, Norway, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, Israel, South Africa, Japan, Australia, Peru and Brazil.
