Samsung is doing to Apple in tablets what it did to them in smartphones.
According to analysts IDC, Samsung’s Q4 market share in tablets was 15% and Apple’s was 44%.
Last year Samsung’s share was 7.3% and Apple’s was 53%.
The tablet market is mirroring the smartphone market. In 2011, Apple and Samsung were level-pegging in shipments but, in 2012, Samsung shipped 220 million smartphones and Apple shipped 130 million smartphones, say analysts Future Horizons.
