Japan-based Kirin Brewery has introduced Kirin Ichiban Frozen Beer at Los Angeles in US, in time for summer.
Kirin Ichiban Frozen Beer is Kirin's premium quality 100% malt, first press draft beer topped with a 23°F frozen beer foam that keeps the beer chilled for 30 minutes.
Made with a patented frozen stirring technology called frozen agitation, a process where air is blown into the beer as it is continuously stirred and chilled, the frozen foam provides a smooth but unique cool and refreshing texture, and acts as a lid to maintain the temperature at which it was poured.
Kirin Brewery of America president Randy Higa said, "The Frozen Beer was first introduced last year in Tokyo and quickly became a huge hit, served at more than 1,300 restaurants in Japan."
In addition to Los Angeles, Kirin also plans to launch Kirin Ichiban Frozen Beer this summer in other select US markets, including locations in Honolulu and New York, and at the Japan Pavilion at Epcot in Orlando.
