Adidas has given its CIO Jan Brecht, a former Daimler AG executive who joined Adidas in 2009, additional responsibilities for the Group’s global supply chain as it looks to simplify and accelerate processes within the operation. Brecht, 42, will report to Glenn Bennett, the executive board member responsible for global operations. Meanwhile, Karen Parkin, 49, who had been responsible for the company’s global supply chain function since 2013, moves to Chief Human Resource Officer, effective Nov. 1.
She has worked for adidas since 1997 when she started as a sales director with adidas U.K. Later, she oversaw the construction and successful go-live of a new Spartanburg, SC, distribution center as VP of supply chain in North America. As the Three Stripes works on a new strategic plan set for an early 2015 debut, the company’s executive team has named 11 new direct reports in the last three months.
