Permanis Unveils a RM40m ($13m) Bottling Line in Bangi

Permanis, the Malaysian subsidiary of Asahi Group has unveiled a RM40m ($13m) bottling line in Bangi, Selangor to cater to the growing demand for its carbonated soft drinks, which include Pepsi, Mountain Dew, 7UP, Mirinda and Revive Isotonic.

Permanis chief executive officer Erwin Selvarajah said the new line offers the company better operating efficiency, with flexibility in production and good quality standards.

"There are lines that allow for a fast change-over in operations while a fully integrated monoblock provides bottle blowing, filling and capping capabilities," Selvarajah added.

According to Permanis, the new line will complement the six carbonated soft-drink lines and will also help the company to build an additional annual turnover of RM150m ($48m) for the next few years.
