Emcore prices underwritten public offering to raise 8.265m dollar
Emcore Corp of Albuquerque,NM,USA,which makes components,subsystems and systems for the fiber-optic and solar power markets,has priced its underwritten public offering of 1,593,400 shares of common stock(announced on 27 September)at 5.46 dollar per share.The offering was increased from what was previously announced due to demand from investors.
The firm has also granted the underwriter an option for 30 days to purchase up to 239,010 additional shares of common stock.
Emcore plans to use the 8.265m dollar in net proceeds for general corporate purposes.
A registration statement for the offering has been filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC).The offering is expected to close on 3 October(subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions).
