Hurricane Sandy Victims Will Receive Bottled Water From Nestlé Waters

Bottled water company in the US, Nestlé Waters North America will supply more than five million bottles of water to communities in New York and New Jersey, which are hit by Hurricane Sandy.

According to Nestlé Waters, about 100 trucks from its plants in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Texas and Maine will be converging on the region.

The company has been requested by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the New York Office of Emergency Management to provide bottled water to meet immediate need in the troubled region.

Nestlé Waters North America vice president corporate affairs Heidi Paul said, "The bottled water industry plays a critical role at times like this to provide large quantities of clean, safe water that can be transported and stored safely."

The company is also donating 200,000 bottles of Poland Spring water to relief agencies, which brings its total bottled water donations to more than 775,000 bottles.
