Quintain Steel Hike Its List Prices for Wire Rod Products for December

Reportedly, Quintain Steel, one of the major wire rod producers in Taiwan announced to hike its list prices for wire rod products substantially by NT$1,000/ton for December, driven by sharply surged scrap prices.

After the price announcement, its latest prices of Al-killed electric furnace wire rod are at NT$25,000/ton; that of blast furnace killed wire rod is at NT$22,500/ton and that of rimmed wire rod is at NT$23,500/ton.

Quintain Steel stated that it decided to remain the December list prices flat as sharply surged scrap prices have boosted its input costs.

Meanwhile, Yieh Hsing, another major wire rod maker in Taiwan will release its December list prices on November 30th. It's forecasted that the firm would also hike prices for December.
