China based paper maker Sun Paper has commissioned new Voith-developed kraft liner paper machines at its facility in Zoucheng.
Designed to have an annual capacity of 800,000 metric tons, the two new machines including right-hand machine PM 31 and the left-hand machine PM 32 are provided by Voith.
With a production width of 6,660mm and an operating speed of 1,200m/min, the PM 31 features three layer MasterJet headbox, the Tandem NipcoFlex shoe press and the SpeedSizer as well as the hard nip calender.
It is designed to produce testliner/ cardboard paper in the basis weight range of 110 to 250 g/m2.
Scheduled to be commissioned on 8 August 2016, the PM 32 machine comprises advanced technology of “one headbox, two layers” with tandem NipcoFlex, surface sizing and hard nip calendar.
Said to be the first paper machine to feature most advanced double layer headbox MasterJet Pro F/B2 for high efficiency, the PM 32 can produce corrugating medium and testliner in the basis weight range of 90 to 140 g/m2.
In 2014, Voith Paper, a division of Voith Group, has delivered three paper machines to Sun Paper for production of packaging and graphic paper.
The two medium-sized packaging paper machines PM 31 and the PM 32 with a wire width of 7.3m will be installed at the Sun Paper's facility in Zoucheng.
According to Voith, the machines operating at a speed of 1,200m per minute will be used to produce corrugated medium and testliner in a basis weight range of 90-250 g/m² with a wire width of 7,300mm.
