American automotive coating services manufacturer The Crown Group has inaugurated a new $5.4m plant at 101 Milledge Road in Greenville County, South Carolina.
The new plant will enable the company to work more collaboratively with existing clients, and expand its footprint in the Southeast.
It will mark the seventh plant for the company in the US and the first in South Carolina.
The Crown Group president Frank Knoth said: "South Carolina has proven itself as a leader in advanced manufacturing, and we look forward to becoming a part of the state's expansive network of manufacturers and suppliers."
Greenville Area Development Corporation (GADC) expects that the new plant will create 42 new jobs over the next five years in the region.
South Carolina secretary of commerce Bobby Hitt said: "The Crown Group joins a two-decade tradition of automotive success in South Carolina, and the jobs they bring with them will have an impact throughout the entire state."
The company offers component coating solutions to major industries, including automotive, agricultural and construction, heavy truck, military and alternative energy.
