Nestlé has officially opened its new Chinese research and development (R&D) facility in Dongguan, in Guangdong province, China.
The new facility will support the company's partnership with Hsu Fu Chi, and will focus on research in confectionery and ice cream.
It will build on Nestlé's global R&D strength in these areas to develop more high-quality products for consumers across Asia.
According to Nestlé, which was one of the first multinational firms to invest and build factories in Dongguan, the development improves its global R&D strength in these areas to develop more high-quality products for consumers in Asia.
A part of the Nestlé R&D organisation in China, the R&D facility comprises two centres in Shanghai and Beijing, with each centre focusing on nutrition and health, and targets consumer needs.
