Japanese automaker Mazda Motor has launched the new revamped version of Mazda3 with new powertrain variants.
The vehicle will be powered by a newly-developed SKYACTIV-G 1.5L gasoline engine in addition to the 2L and 2.5L engines as well as a 2.2L clean diesel engine mated to either six speed manual or the SKYACTIV-Drive six speed automatic transmission.
The 2L gasoline engines deliver output of 155hp and 150lbft torque, while it generates 184hp output and 185lbft torque with standard SKYACTIV-MT.
Mazda3, which is the third generation variant of the vehicle, comes with the KODO design and the SKYACTIV Technologies and is expected to offer better driving experience.
The company plans to improve the line-up for each market in order to address the different needs of customers across the world and will also launch a sedan model with hybrid electric powertrain in Japan.
The new vehicle comes with a new car connectivity system to increase the driving experience and a new human machine interface (HMI) to offer safety while driving.
Additionally, the features of the vehicle include Mazda's i-ACTIVSENSE active safety technologies that support the driver in recognizing and avoiding dangers.
