Sampo Corp Invests 2% of Annual Revenue in Developing New Products Yearly

Taipei,Sept.21,2012(CENS)--To consolidate its lead and enhance competitiveness,Sampo Corp.,an established maker of home appliances in Taiwan known for popular prices,invests 2%of annual revenue in developing new products yearly,according to president S.T.Chen.

Chen says such investment will increase gradually due to improving revenues generated from research and development of new products.For instance,the firm developed a series of white appliances as refrigerators and inverter air conditioners with first-class energy-saving function this year,which helped to post huge revenues in August.

The firm's revenues reached NT$7.621 billion(US$254.03 million)in the first eight months,rising 25.87%year on year(YoY),to which Chen attributes to the launch of said energy-saving white appliances.

Sampo is also developing home appliances targeting the graying society in Taiwan,with models featuring easy operation,more visible markings,and improved safety.

Rechi Precision Co.,Ltd.,Taiwan-based compressor maker and affiliate of Sampo Group,plans to expand production capacities of medium&small-sized motors via cooperating with China Steel Corp.(CSC),an integrated producer of steel products in Taiwan,to target yearly output reaching 50 to 100 million units.
