Silicon Labs has unveiled power-aware software tools for its Precision32 microcontrollers, which are based around ARM Cortex-M3 cores.
Called Power Estimator, and working with the firm's integrated development environment (IDE), "the tool gives developers a top-level graphical view of how a Precision32 MCU uses power in active and sleep mode", said SiLabs. "It enables developers to adjust power usage at the onset of a project even without having development hardware."
