UPM-Kymmene has revoked the possible cuts in output that it had announced for 2013 at the end of 2012 for the Finnish Joensuu, Jyv skyl , and Savonlinna birch-plywood works. According to information from Kim Poulsen, senior vice president of UPM Plywood, both demand for plywood and the availability of logs have recently developed much better than initially expected. The group is meanwhile also ruling out production cuts in spring.
