Everest Insurance Company of Canada (EvCan) has appointed David Crozier as its new chief executive officer, effective from 21 January 2013.
In his new role, Crozier will be responsible for expanding the company's specialty commercial business.
EvCan chairman Daryl Bradley said Crozier holds extensive insurance industry experience due to postings across Canada and exposure to commercial lines, personal lines and marketing.
Prior to joining EvCan, Crozier served as senior vice president of operations for Economical Mutual Insurance Company with responsibility for management of all claims, sales and distribution operations.
Crozier also worked with Chubb Insurance Company of Canada and Prairies.
Mark Teitelbaum will continue to serve as the company's president with primary responsibility towards the Premiere Underwriting Services operation focusing on entertainment, sports and leisure insurance products.
Evcan offers property, casualty and specialty lines insurance through a network of licensed brokers across Canada.
