Two Chocolate Products Positive for Presence of Pig DNA Were Recalled by Cadbury Malaysia

Cadbury Confectionery Malaysia has recalled two batches of chocolate products which were tested positive for presence of pig DNA, porcine.

Health Ministry director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah was quoted by The Star as saying that two types of chocolate products out of three tested were positive for porcine DNA.

The affected products include Cadbury Dairy Milk Hazelnut, which bears batch number 200813M01H I2 and expiry date of 13 November 2014; and Cadbury Dairy Milk Roast Almond, with batch number 221013N01R I1 and expires on 15 January 2015.

In its official Facebook page, Cadbury announced that it is conducting a full review of the supply chain of its products to ensure complete compliance with all quality standards.
