Reser's Fine Foods, a US-based producer of fresh and frozen foods, is set to close its manufacturing facility in Delphos, Ohio, a move which will lead a loss of nearly 100 jobs.
According to paperwork filed with Ohio state officials, the company will close the facility on 13 September.
City Safety Services Director Greg Berquist said that the company plans to sell the facility, and there has been interest in the past from other food firms about locating in the region.
Currently, employees are being given information about opportunities in other locations, and the company is coordinating with local unemployment officials for employee assistance.
Reser's Fine Foods, has plants across the country, is closing no other locations. The company has another facility in Ohio which is located in Cleveland.
The Delphos facility, located at 1600 Gressel Drive, produces refrigerated salads and hot side dish items. Reser's acquired the facility in February 2012 after Chef Solutions filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
Reser's Fine Foods, headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon, produces deli salads, dips, salsas, desserts and other edible items to the grocery and food service industries.
