Mercedes-Benz to Launched Two New Service Initiatives for 2015

Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Service Co Ltd took its "My Service" after-sales brand promise another step forward on Jan 15 at the fashionable 798 Art Zone in Beijing with the announcement that it has officially launched two new service initiatives for 2015.

"We're actively assisting the investigation," the company said, without disclosing details. On Monday, a special investigation team suddenly visited the German luxury brand's East China headquarters in Shanghai, initiating the anti-monopoly probe for a whole day, Chinese media reported on Tuesday morning.

Under pressure from Chinese antitrust regulator's monopoly concerns, Mercedes-Benz was the first to officially reduce the cost of after-sales for its major models by launching its Start Maintenance Menu earlier on July 1. Covering both smart cars and Mercedes-Benz models, including the A-, B-, C-, E-, GLK-, M-, R-, and S-Class, the cost of maintenance will be cut by 20 percent on average and the reduction for some specific models could be as much as 50 percent.

The latest price cut covers auto parts for all Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and will be carried out by all authorized sales shops across China, the report said. It is the second price reduction of auto parts by the company after it lowered the prices by 15 percent in September 2014.
