Hyster, a part of NACCO Materials Handling Group, is set to commence the production of its new Hyster Reach Truck at the NMHG production plant in Masate, Italy.
For this initiative, the company has closed the plant for four weeks in summer 2013, to install the technologies and layout of the new assembly line.
Located in 35,000m2 area, the Masate plant has the capacity to produce 85 trucks per day with more than 250 employees working on it.
Masate plant manager Michele Corini said that about 20,000 units are manufactured here in Masate each year
"We are pleased to bring the most advanced Hyster Reach Truck into production following many years of design and relentless customer testing," Corini added.
Apart from Europe, this plant serves as the global market for Hyster warehouse equipment, shipping trucks to the Middle East, Africa, Brazil, Asia Pacific and China.
