Tian Huiyu, former head of the Beijing branch of China Construction Bank, was formally appointed by the board meeting held on May 31 to be president of China Merchants Bank (CMB), still pending for the regulatory approval.
On the same day, Tian was overwhelmingly approved by the shareholders' meeting of CMB to an executive director.
Tian said he will firmly implement the development strategies established by the board of directors and conduct customer-centric process reengineering and organizational structure reforms suitable to CMB.
