American food company Pompeian has expanded its product portfolio with the introduction of a new range of cooking sprays.
The new Pompeian Cooking Sprays include Avocado Oil Spray, Coconut Oil Spray, OlivExtra Original Spray, and Grapeseed Oil Spray.
Pompeian claims that its Avocado Oil Spray offers similar health benefits to olive oil and can be used for roasting, stir fry, baking, searing, BBQ or broiling.
Coconut Oil Spray with notes of coconut is ideal for enhancing the flavors in seafood or baked goods dishes.
The new OlivExtra Original Spray, which is a combination of extra virgin olive oil and milder tasting canola, can be consumed as a healthy alternative to corn or vegetable oil.
Pompeian Grapeseed Oil Spray is made from grapeseeds and has a higher smoke point. It is suitable for high heat cooking such as frying, sautéing, stir-frying, and grilling.
The new technology used in Pompeian Cooking Spray bottles eliminates the need for propellants to dispense the oil.
According to the company, a valve is inserted into the pouch, attached to the bottle and compressed air is added.
The oil is then pressure-filled through the valve into the pouch, and the actuator and cap are fitted to the bottle. It is dispensed from the bottle due to the air pressure caused by pressing the nozzle.
