American packaged foods company Pinnacle Foods is voluntarily recalling Wish-Bone Ranch Salad Dressing variety as its bottles were unknowingly packed with Wish-Bone Blue Cheese Dressing.
Produced by a contract manufacturer, the recalled product may contain egg that is not mentioned on the packaging, according to the US Food and Drug Administration.
The product subject to the recall include 8,678 cases of Wish-Bone Ranch Salad Dressing packed in 24oz bottles.
The recalled product bears UPC code 0-41321-00661-6 with Best Used By date FEB 17 16.
Consumption of the recalled product may cause serious or life-threatening allergic reaction in people allergic or severe sensitive to eggs.
No illnesses have been reported associated with the consumption yet.
All affected distributors and retail customers, as well as the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network are being notified about the recall.
Consumers who have purchased the recalled product are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
