Flexible packaging company Ampac has announced the addition of Inno-Lok, a new method of applying a reclosable zipper transversely to packaging films producing pre-zippered roll stock film which can be used in form, fill, seal packaging applications.
The Inno-Lok technology, when compared to conventional non-zippered films provides a pre-zippered roll stock solution with a reclosable feature while incurring no reductions in processing and filling speeds and a savings of up to 25% in zipper material.
Inno-Lok will be offered on the company's coextruded surface printed films and laminated films, for barrier as well as non-barrier end uses and it can be applied for frozen foods, fresh produce, dry foods, pet food, confections, and lawn and garden products.
Capabilities of the Inno-Lok pre-zippered roll film include traditional front panel Inno-Lok, bag top, and the Pour and Lok.
The US-based company also launched Pour and Lok, a foldable zipper applied to film in the side gusset area of a package creating a reclosable pour spout.
Ampac market manager for foods Millie Nuño said the pre-zippered film offers a unique solution to many food formats.
"Inno-Lok and Pour and Lok by Ampac are additional technologies that can add value to your customers and to their business," Nuño added.
