Whole Foods Market Recalls Sour Cherry and Blueberry Crostatas

Whole Foods Market in Northern California is recalling sour cherry and blueberry crostatas as the manufacture involved the use of egg wash which was not declared on the label.

Consumers intolerant to eggs are at risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume these product.

The products came in single-item packs in clear, plastic clam shell containers or cardboard boxes and were sold at several stores in the Northern California region. These products feature Whole Foods Market labels specifically 'Sour Cherry Crostata,' with UPC code 21673000000 and 'Blueberry Crostata,' with UPC 0216733009993.

The recall affects products packed prior to 10 August 2013 that feature sell by dates prior to 14 August 2013.

There has been one reported reaction associated with the consumption of these products. Customers are who have purchased the recalled products are advised to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
