Hewlett-Packard Development Announces Partnerships with Two Companies

Palo Alto, Calif.-based Hewlett-Packard Development Co. LP (HP) announces partnerships with two companies that will utilize its ColorPRO technology for large-format printing applications. Products made with ColorPRO employ technologies designed together with Original HP inks and HP large-format printers to optimize overall printing system performance, and must adhere to a strict set of specifications to meet industry performance standards, according to HP.

Aurora Specialty Textiles Group Inc. -an Aurora, Ill.-based coater, dyer and finisher of woven and nonwoven fabrics for apparel, home furnishings, medical, industrial and other applications - is introducing a range of printable fabrics featuring ColorPRO technology for use with HP Latex Inks. The fabrics will feature a wide and bright range of colors and durability, and will be available in widths up to 120 inches.

Cooley Group - a Pawtucket, R.I.-based manufacturer of banner and signage substrates and other high-performance fabrics solutions — now will produce its 100-percent recyclable, non-polyvinyl chloride (PVC) banner solutions with ColorPRO technology for use with HP Latex and UV Inks. The company reports the products will offer improved quality and print performance that is comparable to vinyl products but that has a lower environmental impact than traditional PVC materials. The first products will include a high-density polyethylene-reinforced banner and Tyvek, in widths up to 126 inches.
